What Do NBR® Hair Extensions Cost?

The honest answer is that every quote is custom. Here is exactly what goes into yours, so you know what you are paying for before you ever sit down.

Why we don't post a price list

Pricing varies by client. It depends on how much extension hair you need, the length you want, and the custom coloring involved. Two guests with the same goal can need very different amounts of hair, and the hair is the largest single part of the cost. Posting one number would be wrong for almost everyone who read it.

What we can tell you is what your investment covers, and what drives it up or down.

What your quote includes

  • REMY hand-tied hair by NBR®. 100% human hair, cuticle intact, double drawn. The number of rows and wefts is set at your consultation.
  • Custom color on the extension hair and your natural hair, so the blend is invisible. This is Aveda color, formulated for you.
  • The installation. Three to four hours, no glue, no tape, by a licensed NBR® artist.
  • Cut and styling, so your hair and your extensions read as one head of hair.
  • Your NBR® photo shoot and your care lesson. Washing routine, products to use and not use, how to sleep in them.

What changes the number

  • How much hair. Volume only, or volume and length. One row or two. Single row vs double row.
  • Your starting color. A close match to the hair is faster than a full color change on both.
  • Your hair's condition. Fine, thinning, or previously damaged hair sometimes needs a different plan.

Ongoing maintenance

Re-tightening every six to eight weeks keeps the rows sitting close to the scalp as your hair grows. The hair itself, with proper care, is intended to last four to six months before it is replaced. Both are quoted separately from your first appointment so there are no surprises.

Was it worth it?

We asked a guest who did it. Her honest answer is in the journal. Another guest wrote about her whole experience with NBR. And here is the thing we say to every nervous first-timer: no, they will not damage your hair.
